President Cyril Ramaphosa, today 21 February 2024, received a visit from a bipartisan congressional delegation from the United States of America, in Tuynhuys, Cape Town. The delegation is visiting South Africa at the invitation of the Aspen Institute.

The AfCFTA is a free-trade area, outlined in the African Continental Free Trade Agreement. The AfCFTA is the largest in the world in terms of participating countries since the formation of the World Trade Organisation.

As you may be aware, last year saw business partnering with the presidency in three areas, on the B4SA platform: corruption and crime, logistics and infrastructure, and energy. Now we have taken on a business government initiative focusing on employment and work opportunities, as an area that the private sector could offer further support in.
