Special Edition Sherpa Update

Last week marked a historic milestone - not only for South Africa, but for the entire African continent and the global business community. With immense pride and gratitude, I share that we have formally handed over 30 policy recommendations from the B20 South Africa to the G20 Presidency , ahead of the November Summit.
This was more than a ceremonial moment. It is a declaration of Africa's readiness to lead, to innovate and to collaborate on the world stage.
As I said during the Handover:
"This is Africa's global moment. We invite the world to engage with these recommendations, collaborate with us and join us in leading the change."

These recommendations, evidence-based, performance-driven and implementation-ready, are the result of tireless work across eight task forces guided by five strategic themes and three enabling mechanisms .

They reflect our shared ambition to unlock capital for infrastructure and industry, strengthen food security, build climate-responsive economies, accelerate digital and skills transformation and drive industrialisation through Africa's critical minerals.

None of this would have been possible without the extraordinary commitment of our business leaders, task force chairs, local and international advisory panels, sponsors and partner organisations . Your vision, expertise and belief in the transformative power of an African-led B20 have shaped this achievement.
I extend my deepest thanks to each of you. You have not only contributed to a set of world-class policy proposals, you have also helped set a new benchmark for global cooperation, gender equity and inclusive growth.
As we enter the advocacy phase , I call on the global business community to join us. We need your financing models, your data, your demonstration projects. We need your voices to amplify these recommendations and your leadership to bring them to life.
Let us move forward with integrity, transparency and strong governance. Let us ensure that these proposals are not only acknowledged, but acted upon.
Together, we have proven what collaboration, commitment and shared purpose can accomplish. Now, let us show the world what comes next.
Kind regards
Cas
